Zero Carbon Food

Promoting the Primrose Transition Farm model, which offers real ‘Growing Solutions’ to the imminent challenges we face of Food Security, Peak Oil and Climate Change. It provides a model of efficient and highly productive carbon neutral farming on what is possibly the most bio-diverse, resilient and productive acre and a half in the UK.

Transition Farming

Helping modern agriculture develop low energy production systems to feed the nation. Supporting Transition Towns to sustain and feed themselves through local production and distribution.

Community Regeneration

Advising and encouraging the development of community supported agricultural projects that reconnect people with land and food and empower communities to withstand many future challenges.

Healthy Environment

Promoting environmentally positive food systems that reduce the impact on the natural environment and create bio-diverse resilience to withstand the effects of climate change. Encouraging a deep respect for the Earth and an appreciation of the interdependence of people, plants and the environment.

Human Health and Well Being

Working to improve food quality and the nutritional value of food produced and improving people’s well being through involvement with natural farming systems.

Education and Research

Working with individuals, companies and academics to develop sustainable food systems and delivering the ‘Feast of Learning’ education programme that will offer solutions that act holistically to help sustain all life.

Food Security Solutions

Reducing nations’ reliance on imported foods and helping communities develop sustainable food systems. Reducing reliance on the present ‘cheap oil-powered’ food systems with the highly vulnerable ‘4 days to empty’ supermarket shelves with the hungry city scenario.

GM and Monsanto Free food

We are highly concerned about J. Harrington’s secret and subversive GM maize planting within half a mile of our centre and are showing the film ‘Le Monde Selon Monsanto’ to discredit the highly unsupported pro - GM claims he makes in support of his actions.
